Hello....My name is Debbie. I have three children and love to do many activities with them. I also love video games LOL. I play Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 on XBOX. I also love scrap booking and boating. I never used to have an interest in history and then I went to Europe and spent time in Williamsburg, Virginia, Jamestown, Arlington National Cemetery and Washington DC and I couldn't believe how interesting the history I was learning became. I also felt funny that I didn't know very much about what was being talked about, probably because I didn't pay attention in high school LOL. So I have decided to go back to school and learn more about it now.
Jamestown was the first English settlement in the US and was also the first capital of Virginia.
I am looking forward to learning more about the history of our Country and being able to understand how we got to where we are today.
I am fearing the writing assignments. I have been out of school a long time and my writing skills need alot of help.

Debbie, I am glad that you play Halo 3 as well, it is quite addicting. One of the most exciting things that brings history to life is visiting areas that are rich in history and it often brings forth an interest. As far as writing goes, whether it is just getting started again or practicing further, we all can improve and that is part of the goal with my writing assignments is to get a understanding on how to write well, practice it and the improve. So we are all in the same boat on that.
